It’s like literally the one thing we’ve been saying it will happen and now it is, and they’re shamelessly doing it despite our deep knowledge behind the rise in gas prices.

As the national average for gas just topped $4 per gallon and nearly $6 in places like California, WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki went out on Monday’s Press release, shamelessly blaming the entire crisis (that is deeply rooted way beyond these 2 short weeks) on Vladimir Putin.
A White House reporter read to Psaki some comments from people his network met at a gas station Monday morning.
“One woman said, ‘I just never imagined to see the cost of gas to be this high,’ another said, ‘it’s a huge stressor to my financial situation’…what is the White House, what is the president’s message to Americans who are going to the gas station today and seeing prices so high?” a reporter asked Psaki.

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy called Psaki out for blaming soaring gas prices on Putin.
“It sounds like you are blaming Putin for the increase in gas prices recently, but weren’t gas prices going up anyway because of post-pandemic supply chain issues?” Peter Doocy said.
Psaki doubled down on her lie.
“…there’s no question that…the increase…is a direct result of the invasion of Ukraine,” Psaki said.
