59 Laboratories Worldwide Handle The Deadliest Pathogens! One In Four Score High On Safety!

I guess the SARS-CoV-2 result from high-research gone wrong! Probably it was created with the gain-of-function!

As a result of all the investigations made by now, we can assume that the pandemic emerged as an accidental leak from a laboratory!

In the middle of 2021, the Wuhan lab was one of 59 maximum containment laboratories in operation, under construction, or planned worldwide.

BSL4 labs were designed so that researchers can work safely with the world’s most dangerous pathogens! These pathogens could cause severe diseases which can’t be treated because vaccines don’t exist!

There, the researchers have to wear full-body pressurized suits with independent oxygen. These laboratories are located in 23 countries, where the largest concentration of BSL4 labs is in Europe.

North America and Asia have the same number of labs, with 14 and 13 respectively, Australia has 4, Africa 3.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology has 3000 m² of lab space, making it the largest BSL4 lab in the world. However, it would be overtaken by the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility at Kansas State University in the US. Other labs are smaller.

The governments run sixty percent of these laboratories; universities run 40%, and biodefense agencies run 20%.

The Global Health Security Index measures whether countries have legislation, regulations, policies, and training on biosafety and biosecurity is instructive. We can see that the index shows only one-quarter of countries with BSL4 labs have higher scores for biosafety and biosecurity.

The Daily Expose reported that ‘’Membership of the International Experts Group of Biosafety and Biosecurity Regulators, where national regulatory authorities share best practices in this field, is another indicator of national biosafety and biosecurity practices. Only 40% of countries with BSL4 labs are members of the forum: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK, and the US. And no lab has yet signed up to the voluntary bio-risk management system (ISO 35001), introduced in 2019 to establish management processes to reduce biosafety and biosecurity risks.’’

Many countries with maximum labs don’t regulate dual-use research, referring to experiments conducted for peaceful purposes, but can be adapted to cause harm!

There are 23 counties with these kinds of laboratories (BSL4), and three of them have national policies for oversight of dual-use research, located in Australia, Canada, and the US.

It’s really concerning as gain-of-function research with coronaviruses will increase as scientists want to understand these viruses better and to find out which viruses pose a higher risk of jumping from animals to humans or are transmissible between humans.
